160mm W2/Mild Steel, Bog oak & White oak Kitchen knife
This knife is a 3 layer construction with a mild steel jacket and w2 steel for the cutting edge.
The handle believe it or not, is all oak. The bolster I fashioned Bog oak which is partly fossilized oak the can be anywhere from a 3000 to 8000 years old. The rest of the handle is recycled white oak.
As this knife is used it will start to develop a patina of its own which will help protect the knife against rust. Please make sure to rinse any fruit or vegetable juice off of the knife and quick a dry in between cutting sessions. The blade can be moist but not wet. Do NOT put in the dishwasher.
